South Africa's Cabinet has approved a new international marketing logo for the country. Inspired by the South African flag but evolved into a "trade-markable" form, the new logo is distinctive, dynamic and energetic, and stands out within its competitive environment.

Uplifting stories of hope to be showcased on SABC1

Now kicking off its fifth annual season, the popular television series on social responsibility, Kaelo - Stories of Hope, has moved from SABC2 to SABC1 and will be broadcast from 12h30 -13h00 from 29 November 2009.

Hopeville returns to TV screens

The highly popular, 6-part television series Hopeville will be re-broadcast on SABC 2 from Thursday.The moving series is about a man who has the courage to do what is right, but with potentially dire results for himself and his son.  Hopeville tackles issues of the day like crime, corruption, service delivery and family relationships, and through its influence South Africans will again be inspired to take action in changing their communities instead of waiting for others to do something.
